Remove TradeDoubler

I’m sure I can’t be the only one to have noticed this but have you seen the sponsored links on the keyword “TradeDoubler” lately? It’s a pretty alarming headline from a company with the call to arms “Remove Tradedoubler”

If I were TradeDoubler I’d be looking to have this removed asap as it’s hardly the way potential affiliates, clients and visitors should be greeted when searching for the well known affiliate network. Admittedly there’s not much that can be done other than perhaps a cease and desist or maybe a quiet word in Google’s ear but still, at lease run your own ad as a counter measure in the mean time.

A quick search to see what others are saying doesn’t spell a pretty picture either. One of the pages I visited actually had this to say…

Free TradeDoubler.com removal instructions, this Cookie is dangerous.

And another this…

Advice: Remove This is a very high risk threat and should be removed immediately as to prevent harm to your computer or your privacy.

With the last one serving up this pathetic nugget of wisdom…

Manual removal is a difficult process and it is not recommend unless you are an expert in this field.

Unbelievable, how hard is it to delete your cookies if you want to? I really hate it when companies resort to such lowbrow, ill informed and scumbag tactics to fool innocent people into installing their “AntiSpyware” tools.
