Commission Junction Closing Down
Ok, so maybe not closing down the actual network but I had to laugh when I read an announcement yesterday that Commission Junction were closing down their own affiliate and merchant recruitment program due to ‘changing business needs’. What’s the reasoning behind this you may ask? Perhaps Commission Junction have got all the affiliates and merchants they can handle require?
For those of you who have been affected by the closure fear not as there’s plenty of other affiliate networks out there (running referral programs) who would be more than happy to bring on board new clients and reward you for your efforts.
By all accounts the CJ Referral program was a very successful campaign so on the flip side perhaps congratulations are in order to CJ for achieving their business goals?

Nice Hook Paul,
I thought Christmas had come early for a moment then, though I do wonder if its partially becuase they don’t want to pay any over-ride on second tier for which believe we were & still owed a 6 figure $ sum.
Them closing down their affilite recruitment program, does it affect everything or only just prohibit others from joining. Sounds like the later…but just looking for some verification.
Hmmm! Interesting
This will be a huge blow to affiliate marketing newbies.
I have used and still use commission junction with great satisfaction
I hope current affiliates can still apply to other programs within the network
I wonder when these proposed changes are due to take place. I agree with affiliate marketing introduction’s comments. CJ has been good for me and it will be a shame to see that others will not be able to have the opportunity i have had with them
